How our resizing service works

- Expert recommendation & estimate. We confirm what is possible, explain any risks or alternatives, and provide a cost estimate and expected timeframe.
- Workshop craftsmanship. Resizing is carried out by skilled goldsmiths using traditional techniques appropriate to the age and construction of your ring.
- Quality and checks. We inspect settings, tighten claws if needed, clean and polish, and return the ring ready to wear.

What affects resizing
- Metal & construction: Platinum, gold (yellow/white/rose), and silver each require different approaches.
- Gemstones & settings: Heat-sensitive stones (e.g., opal, emerald) and full eternity bands may limit sizing range.
- Size change amount: Small changes are usually straightforward; larger changes can require additional work.
- Engraving & patterns: We can often preserve or sympathetically re-engrave as part of the work.
